Janice Williams is a bankruptcy paralegal at Holston & Huntley. After several years in the nursing industry, she decided to return to school in 2002 to obtain a degree in paralegal studies with a focus on bankruptcy. Janice chose this area of study because it would allow her to continue to fulfill her passion of helping others. It is with this passion that she is able to understand the needs of bankruptcy debtors facing financial distress.
At Holston & Huntley, Janice serves as a liaison between the clients, attorneys, creditors, and court personnel. For more than 10 years, Janice has helped numerous bankruptcy clients. Her bankruptcy experience and knowledge—particularly in Chapter 7 and 13 cases—has made her an asset to bankruptcy clients. She enjoys working with bankruptcy clients because she always feels a sense of gratification when she helps clients obtain financial freedom.
Although Janice is thrilled to help bankruptcy clients overcome their debt, she has realized that she has more to give to those in need. For that reason, Janice earned a Master of Divinity to continue fulfilling her passion of helping others. She is currently a member of several organizations that assist in counseling and supporting individuals who have fallen on hard times.
In her free time, Janice enjoys spending time with family, traveling to the Caribbean, volunteering, and reading financial management & budgeting periodicals. Janice is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Ministry.
